Most of our work is preventive, but our Uganda team recently had a unique rescue opportunity: During routine monitoring, the team identified a motorcycle carrying three young girls who appeared frightened and were traveling with a stranger. When the rider refused to let the monitors speak with them, the team discreetly shared their contact information with the girls. A few days later, one of the girls reached out for help, revealing that they had been lured to Kampala under false promises of restaurant work, confined to a small room, and told to wait for domestic jobs. Acting swiftly alongside police, our team rescued all three girls, and authorities arrested five suspects, who now face trafficking charges. Please pray for the girls’ recovery, for continued strong collaboration between our staff and police as the case moves to the State Attorney, and for wisdom and protection over all who work daily to prevent trafficking before it begins.
